Wine of the Week
Larrivet Haut-Brion ’15
“The 2015 Larrivet Haut-Brion has a superb bouquet with brambly red fruit, gravel and cedar aromas that unfold with confidence in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, crisp acidity, quite masculine in style and the only shortcoming is its brevity on the finish. I suspect that a couple of hours in the decanter would benefit this wine and just lend more density on the finish. Promising. Tasted blind at the Southwold 2015 Bordeaux tasting.”
