Wine of the Week
Zuccardi Serie A Malbec 2018 “The 2018 Malbec Serie A was produced in a transparent way, trying to express the varietal character of the grapes from the Valle de Uco. It has an herbal twist with a wild and spicy side, full of character and with very good freshness. 2018 was a return to a classically dry year with homogeneous ripeness. This is a wine with energy, brightness and freshness, with only 20% of the wine matured in used barriques—for logistical reasons more than trying to mark the wine with oak. So, it’s fruit driven and pure, supple, medium-bodied with less volume than your average Malbec.” 91+ Pts Wine Advocate $13.99/btl

Face Masks Required Columbia City Council passed an emergency ordinance requiring the use of a face mask. In a continued effort to provide a safe and healthy environment for staff and customers, The Gourmet Shop will be requiring a face mask for anyone to enter the shop or indoor dining area. (This includes standing in line to pay after eating outdoors.) Please be prepared. Stay safe, wash your hands, and mask up!
