New Arrivals
Butternubs Born out of a farmer’s market stand, these adorable French cookies have arrived just in time for our Bastille Day celebration! Pronounced “sah-blay,” these classic French butter cookies have a unique history, which separates them from standard cookies. The recipe originates from Normandy, a region in France famous for its rich, creamy, golden butter. It’s been a staple in French homes since the 17th century, and the name literally means, “sand.” That might sound strange until you take your first bite; the name perfectly describes that delicate, crumbly texture that melts away on your tongue. Offered in two varieties, Salted Chocolate and Salted Brown Butter, these sablés also come in an adorable butter-shaped box!

Wine of the Week
Piccolomini Brunello Pianrosso ’20
“The Ciacci Piccolomini d’Aragona 2020 Brunello di Montalcino Pianrosso (with 43,000 bottles made along with some larger formats) is a little overdone in my opinion in terms of ripeness and its powerful 15.5% alcoholic content. The bouquet reveals dark fruit aromas, cherry liqueur, brandied plum and sweet crème de cassis. This is a thickly grained Brunello with a soft, richly textured core. I recommend a medium-term drinking window, although that touch of tannic astringency might never fully integrate. Drink 2025-2038.”
